News: Fall Friendswood Community Education Classes want YOU
posted: October 3, 2008

The Friendswood ISD Community Education fall program is now up and running after a slight delay due to Hurricane Ike.  If anyone would like to escape memories (and work) from the storm, and have a bit of fun while learning something new, ComEd has just the classes for you.

ComEd staff are currently taking registrations for October classes, including:  Karate (started 9/25), Conversational Spanish, Buying & Selling Real Estate, De-Stress, Intro to Photography, Intro to Yoga, Basic Perfume Blending, Retirement Reality Check, Tailgating 101, Staging to Sell (your home), Intro to MS Word, Red Cross Babysitting, Buying Foreclosures, and Do You See What I See? (a holiday art project).

Classes scheduled in November are Intro to MS Excel, Homemade Holiday Treats, Charm Your Bag (jewelry for purses, backpacks, etc.), Scents & Salts (how to make perfume and other scented products), and Money Smart Child.

Complete course descriptions and registration forms are available online under the Community Education Department at www.fisdk12.net.  Brochures are available at the Friendswood Public Library and Chamber of Commerce. Citizens may also call or drop by the office, 281-482-6000, 302 Laurel Drive, Friendswood.  Pat or Leanna will be glad to assist them.
