Any boy interested in trying out for soccer and that is not in soccer class right now needs to talk with Coach Peter before Friday November 14.

Chess Club meets Thursdays after school in the library. All skill level players are invited.

Attention FCCLA members! Don't forget that you are meeting at Steven's Park after school tomorrow, November 11th. If you need a ride, meet right after school in Mrs. Kahn's room and you can car pool to the park. Bring your tennis shoes and a water bottle.

This Saturday, november 15th, come support ally herman in finishing her girl scout gold award and take part in her “take a hike, Ike! whirlwind run”. This 5K run will take place at FHS, registration is $10 this wee and $15 on saturday, and includes a t-shirt and refreshments. Registration is Saturday morning at 7am, and the race starts at 8am.

The Lady Mustang volleyball team will be playing tomorrow night at Wheeler Fieldhouse in Sugarland at 6pm. Wear mustang blue in suport of us!

Lacrosse Tryouts begin today, November 10, and run through next Tuesday November 18. No lacrosse experience is required. Meet at the field house at 4 pm, bring cleats and running shoes. Athletes must have a completed physical packet on file in the athletic training room prior to being allowed to tryout.

Mysterious Mustangs: don't forget to bring 25 hearts with you on today, to room 221, at 4:00. We will also meet tomorrow morning at 8:00am for anyone unable to make it on Monday. We always welcome new members to help us in our cause to do random acts of kindness.

Don’t forget to pick up your hoophead hat order forms from the AP’s office. They are $25 a hat.

We are voting again this week for the best video highlight.  Friendswood's TD kick return is on the ballot. Go to chron.com and click on the line that reads: "High school football highlights: vote for the best” It is titled "Highlight: Friendswood's return". Click and vote for friendswood!

Mysterious Mustangs struck yesterday with some random acts of kindness. Look Around! You might see evidence of it. Join them this Monday. Cut out 25 paper hearts and be in room 221 at 3:50. Or meet at Tuesday at 8:00am. They’ll let you in on the mysteries when you join! Until then remember, "You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give."

There is a mandatory LD debate meeting on Wednesday at 8:15 am in room 713 with Ms. Dial. Everyone involved is expected to attend!

Lt. L. Cornwall, from the United States Naval Academy, will be at FHS on Friday, November 14th from 10 to 2. Any student who might be interested in the United States Naval Academy is welcome to talk with Lt. Cornwall. See you counselor for details. Lt.Cornwall will also be available in the mall area, closest to the cafeteria, during each lunch.

The Brass and Woodwinds of Texas is a volunteer marching band that participates in parades in the Houston area.

The Sunday matinee for the faculty play “Steel Magnolias” begins at 2 pm, not 2:30. Tickets are $5 for students, staff, and faculty and $10 for everyone else. We're trying to make as much money as we can for as many scholarships as possible, so bring all your friends.
